About The Founder

Benson Media Group, LLC was founded by Preston Benson. What started as a hobby has now developed into a full blown business that has led to great partnerships with real estate agents and professional photographers. Preston’s passion for aerial flight has gained him hundreds of hours of real flight time and extensive knowledge of the laws that govern sUAV’s (drones). Preston has his FAA Part 107 Pilots License which allows him to fly any unmanned aircraft weighted 54 lbs and below. When Benson Media Group, LLC was founded, the goal was to exceed client expectations on every project and that goal still rings true today.

Importance of Hiring a Licensed Pilot

Did you know that it is illegal to fly a drone for commerce unless the pilot has his/her Part 107 License? If an individual is caught in violation of this law, the pilot could be fined and the entity or individual that hired them could be fined as well. Our licensed drone pilots have spent hours learning the FAA rules and regulations to make our business legal and in the process, our pilots have learned about the many effects that weather, temperature, and other factors can play into our flights.
